How to get here: from San Miguel de Tucumán (107 km), via Ruta Nacional 38 and then Ruta Provincial 307. From Cafayate, via Ruta Nacional 40 and then Ruta Provincial 307 (118 km).

Altitude: 2.014 above sea level.
Climate: warm and wet, winter snows.
Ideal time of the year: spring and fall (summer is the rain season and it snows in winter).
Recommended length of stay: 2 to 4 days.
Recommended clothing: in winter (July through September), take warm clothes. In summer (December through March), a light jacket to wear at night will be enough. Also, take comfortable preferably light-colored clothes, repellent, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat or cap, and appropriate footwear according to the activity.
What to do: take horseback rides to La Ciénaga and La Angostura Dam. Visit the Quilmes Ruins, Cerro de la Cruz Viewpoint, Amaicha del Valle, the Elf House Museum of Myths and Legends [Museo de Mitos y Leyendas Casa Duende]. Take a 4x4 ride along the Tafí River. Attend the most renowned events: Yerbiao Fest, Musicians of the Valley Meeting, National Cheese Fest, The Passion of Jesus Christ Performance, the Yanasu Huasi Craft Fair, the Virgen del Carmen Fest, the Singing to Valley Fest, the Tradition Fest.
