Horseback riding in the Roca lake
In Patagonia, enjoy a horseback ride that will take you to enjoy a panoramic view of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Would you like to live a day at the countryside in the southernmost region in Argentina? Hop on your horse and start your journey. From El Calafate, follow a route with typical estancias [farming estates] in the region. Ride along the Magallanes peninsula and the Camiseta river valley. Feel the thrill of catching a unique view of the Perito Moreno glacier. The sky reflected on the Roca lake. The snow covering the peaks of the Frías and the Moreno mounts.
Along the way, visit Los Ñires camping site, on the banks of the Rico river. There, a classical countryside lunch is waiting for you: a typical criollo-style beef steak cooked in a plough’s disc. Taste the exquisite Argentine beef and learn about a tradition that is a part of the country’s identity. And, on the way back, while you’re still enjoying the horseback ride, watch the immense landscapes gifted to you by Los Glaciares National Park. Live it all in Patagonia.
