Inland, explore five Jesuit Estancias that have remained for centuries: Colonia Caroya, Jesús María, Santa Catalina, Alta Gracia, La Candelaria and San Ignacio. How to get there: By plane, to Ing. Ambrosio Taravella International Airport, in the city of Córdoba. By land, the main access is via Ruta Nacional 9; then, there are many paved roads that run through the hillsides.
Altitude: 373 meters above sea level (average altitude), 2,885 meters above sea level (maximum altitude in the Champaquí hill).
Climate: Humid subtropical weather predominates. Towards the northeast, it transitions to a semi-arid climate.
Recommended length of stay: 8 to 12 days.
Recommended clothing and gear: dress in layers. While the province has fair weather, the temperature might fall drastically as you ascend to the hillside. Bring a coat, a hat, sunscreen and suitable footwear for each activity.
