In the corsodromo [place where parades take place] of the provincial capital, the epicenter of this show is waiting for you as the parades of comparsas compete with each other. In the neighborhoods and villages, instead, carnival is celebrated on the streets and you are invited to join. Experience it in Paso de los Libres and Santo Tomé, Bella Vista and Mercedes, Curuzú Cuatiá and Monte Caseros, Goya and Santa Lucía Esquina, Empedrado and San Luis del Palmar. Come and enjoy the festival.

 

Geographic location: Province of Corrientes, Litoral region of Argentina.

How to get there: The city of Corrientes is located 900 km from the city of Buenos Aires. By air, you can fly to Corrientes International Airport. By land, you can get there via Ruta Nacional 14, by car or bus via connections from different points of the country. 

Climate: Subtropical, with dry season and cold in winter. 

Recommended length of stay: 2 to 5 days.

Recommended clothing and gear: light and breathable clothes. Pack water for hydration.

Tips: Enjoy both celebrations: at the corsodromo and the festivals in neighborhoods and towns. Each one has its charm and amusement.
