Cerro Tronador
Dare to climb this mythical mountain, in the southern area of the Andes mountain range.
Do you know why it is called Tronador [the roaring one]? Because its ice makes a noise similar to thunder when breaking off from the glaciers. Listen to it and be amazed. Are you up for your adventure? Walk across forests and trails, rivers and bridges. Enjoy the views of lakes and ice, valleys and snow-covered peaks. Come and climb this giant that stands out at over 3,500 meters high and is waiting for you at the Nahuel Huapi National Park.
Along the way, watch the zigzagging course of the Manso river, look at the trout swimming in its greenish waters, step close to the Los Alerces cascade, and watch the water fall from a height of 30 meters. Travel around the Pampa Linda valley and climb up to the last panoramic point in the circuit: the Ventisquero Negro glacier, a dark ice giant that descends from the Tronador.
