Junín de los Andes is the gateway to Lanín National Park. Do you feel like having an adventure? How to get there: by air, to Aviador Carlos Campos Airport (also known as Chapelco Airport). By land, by bus or car via Ruta Nacional 5 from Buenos Aires (1,500 km) and via Ruta Nacional 237 from the city of Neuquén (395 km).

Area: 1,415.53 sq km.

Altitude: 902 meters above sea level (average altitude)

Climate: temperate cold, with snowfall in winter.

Recommended length of stay: 2 to 5 days.

Recommended clothing and gear: warm clothes, suitable for very low temperatures in winter.
