How to get there: by car, via Ruta Nacional 5. By bus, from various locations around the country. By plane, to the international airport of the city of Bariloche.
Climate: high mountain climate, with heavy rainfall, cold temperatures and a narrow temperature range throughout the year. In summer, however, temperatures can be as high as 33ºC and in winter they can drop to as little as -15ºC.
Recommended length of stay: 1 to 2 days.
Recommended clothing and gear: it is required to be equipped with a life preserver, neoprene wetsuit, waterproof jacket, neoprene boots and a helmet, all of which is provided by the travel agencies that offer the tour.
