Río Noque Waterfall

Discover a crystal-clear waterfall in the Yungas circuit in the Argentine North.

Do you know the San Javier mount? Here your adventure gets going. Travel 10 kilometers from Cristo Bendicente. Leave your vehicle and continue your journey on foot. Enjoy every step as you move forward along a jungle trail. Listen to the singing of birds. Fill your eyes with the intense green of the vegetation. As you cross the Noque river, you’ll find the treasure: a transparent waterfall.

Geographic location: Province of Tucumán, north of Argentina.

How to get there: Take Ruta 340 from San Miguel de Tucumán up to the San Javier mount, and continue on the same route heading to the La Sala valley. There, you’ll find the old monoblock buildings of Ciudad Universitaria. Then, a sign shows the access to the Noque river. From there, a trail leads up to the fall.

Climate: Warm and humid.

Recommended length of stay: 1 day.

Recommended clothing and gear: Comfortable shoes for walking. Water and mosquito repellent.
