Argentina launched its 2026 snow season
Centered on family-friendly activities, cutting-edge gastronomy, and catering to all tastes and budgets, the main ski resorts welcomed the 2026 snow season.
One of this year's new features is the digital implementation of Tax-Free shopping, a system designed to streamline the process for international tourists to reclaim VAT (IVA)—the consumption tax that is already included in the final price of products in Argentina.
Additionally, special emphasis was placed on resorts offering competitive prices and premium services. This, combined with the "open skies" policy that implies greater air connectivity, makes Argentina "a very valuable destination," as stated by Daniel Scioli, Secretary of Tourism, Environment, and Sports, and President of INPROTUR.
Laura Teruel, President of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT), and Carlos Arana, President of the Argentine Ski and Mountain Chamber (CAEM), also participated in the opening event.
